Registration is required for all regularly attending children and youth each year. Please fill out a new registration each year, September - August.
This year's Family Ministry classes will be exploring the Sources of our UU faith. We'll learn about different religious traditions and from one another and deepen our understanding of how our Unitarian Universalist faith is similar and different from other spiritual traditions.

MS/HS Youth Group Parent/Guardian Responsibilities
It is my responsibility to ensure my youth has transportation to and from all youth group meetings and events. In accordance with the UUA Youth Safety Policy, youth are NOT allowed to drive themselves (or other youth) to or from district sponsored overnight youth events. Our Youth Program Coordinator and/or adult advisors are happy to assist with carpool arrangements as needed but must be contacted at least 48 hours prior to an event if assistance is required.
It is my responsibility to pick up my youth in a timely fashion from youth meetings and events. Permission slips are required for any off-campus event – signed by the minor’s legal parent or guardian.
All members of the Church of the River Youth Group are expected to participate in at least one group service project and one youth service per year.
Part of the way our youth program is so effective in creating a safe and caring community for our youth is that we maintain a covenant of confidentiality. This means that what a youth shares with the group will remain confidential unless what is shared causes the advisors and/or Youth Program Coordinator to be concerned for the youth’s safety and/or well being. Any communication indicating abuse or neglect, or if we believe the youth to be at risk of harming his/herself or others, will be taken seriously and acted upon in accordance with the Best Practices for Safe Congregations as set out by the UUA.
ALL OTHER COMMUNICATION WILL REMAIN CONFIDENTIAL.
The Youth Program Coordinator and/or Director of Lifespan Faith Development and Minister are available and welcome conversation about youth program celebrations/issues/concerns. Please speak with them if/when any of these needs arises.
